Stranger Points, the Netflix phenomenon, now has its own cellular video game – and it truly seems very superior.

Stranger Points the Match seems like a devoted adaptation, in that both of those it and the unique collection are indebted to retro aesthetics. Of course, the second season of the display is established in 1984 and the video game seems more like it was pulled from the 90s, but hey. This is a fully free of charge video game, and apparently does not include any pesky microtransactions. Of course, the video game is effectively operating as an advertisement for the collection, but that doesn’t necessarily mean it is not fun.

I’m nonetheless to play the video game myself – I’m downloading it now – but according to Gamesradar it is very chunky, with 6 dungeons and seven people to decide on from. It is modeled as a re-telling of the to start with season, only more videogame-y. Judging from the trailer you get to soar in between our planet and the Upside Down, and lay the beat down on a assortment of enemies.

Irrespective of whether or not it is superior or not, it is at the very least wonderful to see a cellular tie-in that doesn’t request us to manage a town or match up coloured gems or anything like that. It appears to be to keep real to the spirit of what Stranger Points is.

The video game is out now on iOS and Android. Stranger Points season 2 releases to Netflix on Oct 27.
